The Healthcare Practice Group at Brunini has been created to support the legal needs of hospitals, physicians and physician practices, and other healthcare providers operating in the heavily regulated healthcare environment. The Firm’s healthcare attorneys regularly work with and represent hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers to include nursing homes, laboratories, home health providers, physical therapy, and other ancillary providers. Our attorneys have a deep knowledge of Federal and State Healthcare Laws and Regulations, including the Anti-Kickback Statute, the Stark Law, Federal, and State Tax Exemption, State Licensure and CON, the Mississippi Community Hospital Statute, EMTALA and reimbursement audits and appeals (RAC, MAC, MIC, and ZPIC).
The Firm’s healthcare practice is led by William (“Bill”) Grete, an accomplished healthcare attorney and trusted advisor to governing boards, hospital and physician practice management executives, physician leaders and physician practice groups. Mr. Grete frequently advises rural hospitals on governance issues, hospital/physician contracts, joint ventures, physician practice acquisitions, healthcare financing, reimbursement, medical staff issues, labor, and employment and regulatory compliance. The Firm also offers broad experience in litigation matters routinely faced by healthcare providers to include commercial litigation, employment, and labor litigation, and medical malpractice defense.
